THIS ELECTION IS ABOUT
YOU & WE

Not so much about me as a candidate, although that’s important too.
I thought that you might have a few questions around that statement such as:

WHO IS THE YOU?
You’re the people who have chosen to make Oro-Medonte your home.  You’ve worked hard to be here with your family, just as I have. You are the voters who have the right and the voting power to select who you want to represent you on Council.  Use that power.

WHO ARE THE WE?
We’re the people who make up this communityand contribute to its well-being
with our tax dollars, hard work, and volunteering.  This is our home, and we want
a stronger say in how our tax dollars are spent to ensure that the benefits are
shared fairly with all the residents of Oro-Medonte.

WHO AM I?

My name is Robert (Bob) Young.  My two sons and I have been living on a farm property in Hobart in Ward 6 for 20 years.  We enjoy our rural lifestyleand being part of the larger township community.  I’m retired after 35 years of holding several professional positions in the public service - as a Provincial Investigator and Mediator, Police Officer and Fire Marshall.  All of those jobs involved working face-to-face with people and collectively resolving problems and important issues. Applying my professional skills was both challenging and rewarding and I plan to continue using those skills as
your Ward 6 Councillor.

WHY SHOULD YOU
VOTE FOR ME?

I’m a good team player. I’ll listen to you, meet with you to work out a solution to your concern and stand on your behalf as a strong voice on Council. I’ll bring honesty, integrity and common sense to the financial management and protection of the resources and the quality of life that
we share going into the future.

ON OCTOBER 24TH
